Drilling for drinking water pipelines
Peterborough UK
On behalf of the Strategic Pipeline Alliance, Visser & Smit Hanab, in collaboration with VolkerStevin Ltd (VTS), will carry out a number of HDD's for the construction of a drinking water pipeline in England. The crossings are spread over a total track length of approximately 300 km. The HDPE pipes have a diameter of 560mm and 710mm. The length of the crossings varies between 200 m and 800 m. The first casing tube has now been successfully installed. Currently, only the 250-ton rig is being drilled, but this will soon be replaced by the 100-ton rig.
